READ YOUR FACTORY CALIBRATION

Unbox the hardware and walk out to your car. Plug the ultra high-speed RTD4 interface directly into your vehicle's OBD port (usually located underneath the driver-side lower dashboard). Open the TDN application, connect via Bluetooth, turn on the ignition, and command a "Read File" operation to extract the baseline firmware calibration.

SUBMIT BASE READ AND SPECS TO MSD

Using the cloud-sync system integrated within the TDN application, sync your factory calibration instantly up to the Motorsport Developments secure calibration vault. Note down all mechanical modifications present on your car (such as intake kits, uprated intercoolers, exhaust upgrades, decats, forging etc) so our calibration engineers understand your exact setup.

Flash your MSD base calibration

Our calibration engineers manually build your bespoke performance tune, tailoring it directly to your mod description. Once certified, we compile and deliver the performance calibration straight back to your cloud inbox. Power down all car accessories (lights, AC unit, radio screen), load the TDN App, press "Write File", and program the new MSD calibration software to your car's engine control module within minutes.

Record & Upload Telemetry

Unleash the high-speed data capture engine built into your RTD4 hardware link. With your MSD V1 calibration loaded, conduct a series of controlled road sweeps while the TDN app records your PCM's datastream outputs (boost, AFR, Load, Knock etc). Once complete, upload this recorded telemetry to us via the TDN application.

Our calibration engineers will evaluate the data that was recorded under load and construct your first custom refined tune (E-Tune V1) specifically matching your real-world hardware environment.

INSTALL ETUNE-V1 AND LOG AGAIN

Now you have your first truly custom tune installed, you will feel the vehicle come to life and you can repeat step 5 again, datalogging your newest Etune-V1 calibration and uploading that new data back to us at MSD. We will finalise the job by sending you a final revision, known as E-Tune V2 for you to test and datalog to sign the process off.
