Ford Escort Rs Turbo Tuning

The series 1 and 2 Rs Turbo’s really are still a fabulous car to tune and we still see these cars every month for one thing or another.

Whilst we don’t offer a huge amount of products for them, we do still supply the service items, actuators and even engine management chips. We also fully understand all aspects of the quirky Bosch KE Jetronic system and are still in the position to get your poor running and idling Rs turbo running well again.

Ford Escort Rs Turbo Tuning.

Stage 1 Package (up to 180bhp)

This package enhances the Escort Rs Turbo driving experience greatly, with the same response as a standard car but a far stronger power band in the mid to upper rev range.

The package includes the supply and fitment of:

  • -31 actuator set to 1 bar of boost
  • Evolution Chip supplied and fitted into the ECU
  • Full engine management setup and fuel system alterations to suit the boost
  • Dyno time including graphs of power and torque along with AFR and Boost levels

Total cost including labour and vat = £600

Stage 2 setup (up to 200bhp)

This setup is the maximum achievable from the standard Bosch KE system without compromising off boost fueling too much. This is for vehicles that are already fitted with the following items:

  • Ecu chip
  • Large front mounted intercooler.
  • Performance air filter
  • Full 3" exhaust system
  • Performance camshaft
  • Uprated actuator

 

The package is for labour only to setup what you already have, and includes:

  • Full engine management setup and fuel system alterations to suit the boost
  • Dyno time including graphs of power and torque along with AFR and Boost levels

 

Total cost including labour and vat = £450

MSD Bespoke calibration solutions

MSD 200 - 400

We recognise that there are many hardware specifications out there and sometimes we need to tune around and within your own bespoke hardware build. From MSD200 onwards we tend to be dealing with a variety of different engine management systems and turbochargers.

 

Example hardware specification:

  • Full Steel engine build with ported head and cam to suit.
  • Uprated intake manifold.
  • High performance cold air induction kit.
  • Full 3" free flow exhaust system.
  • Uprated intercooler.
  • Uprated capacity fuel pump.
  • Standalone management (Omex / Simtek / ECUMaster Etc.)
  • 550 / 650 / 750 cc Injectors.
  • Garrett GTX2867R Etc.
  • Internal or external wastegate..

Typical cost to calibrate a standalone ECU on this specification engine: £900 inc vat.
These bespoke calibrations will be done primarily on our dyno and the price includes the dyno cell hire and 2x professional dyno operators / calibrators labour.
