The Ford Escort series 1 and 2 Rs Turbo’s really are still a fabulous car to tune and we still see these cars every month for one thing or another.
Whilst we don’t offer a huge amount of products for them, we do still supply chips and management setups for them, and because we fully understand all aspects of the quirky Bosch KE Jetronic system, we are in a position to make your poor running and idling Rs turbo run well again, so book her in for a setup now.

Approx time to complete is 3 hours.
By reprogramming the engine management system to allow more boost pressure, and safer timing, we can carefully raise the Boost pressure to 15 psi & gain a very substantial increase in power and torque. Maximum power of 180 Bhp is now produced. To achieve this we use our own chip and a new Garrett waste gate actuator that is much stronger than the original item.
The whole system is setup and checked to ensure everything is working as it should before we ask more power of it, then the finished conversion is road tested and fine tuned for maximum performance, drivability and reliability.

All parts and work as for stage 1 are fitted and then further modifications are made to the fuel delivery / boost system. A larger air/air intercooler and racing specification spark plugs are fitted, alongside a new performance camshaft, valve springs and hydraulic followers. If necessary a new fuel filter and free flow air filter are always fitted with this conversion (At extra cost).
Boost pressure can then safely be raised to 18 psi and the result is 200Bhp and around 185 lbs.ft of torque.
